I love everything about the process of creating a painting, from the original idea, to the set up or scene captured, to the actual drawing and painting of the piece, that is what drives me to my studio to paint every day. My goal is to perfect and hone my skills and to enjoy the process which enriches my life..
For my still lifes I am always looking for new and different set-ups, lighting effects, interesting and sometimes unusual objects to depict. I also like to paint in series, which are similar in theme or format.
I am thrilled by the hunt for interesting objects to paint and can be found often at auctions and charity shops hunting for treasures.
